Cauliflower Pizza

Hello guys!!

I am especially excited about this recipe because of how good it was , hands down the best pizza I ever had. I actually made it twice and the second time was for my birthday and it was a hit, everyone loved it including the picky eaters and veggie haters.

The recipe is easy to make, it just requires time

Recipe:

cauli pizza 1

cauli pizza 1.4

Crust:

1 Large cauliflower

1 Egg

½ Tsp garlic powder (or more if you really like garlicky crust)

¼ tsp Salt

½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Topping:

3Tbsp Tomato sauce (flavour with garlic powder)

4oz Mozzarella cheese

Tomato slices

Green bell pepper slices

How to make:

First, chop up the cauliflower into little pieces and then use your blender/food processor to shred it into rice size pieces.  Transfer the cauliflower to a parchment paper or silicone baking sheet and bake for around 20 to 25 mins at 375 Celsius. I used a silicon baking sheet.

Here comes the tricky part.

Carefully transfer the baked cauliflower into a clean kitchen towel.  Squeeze out as the moisture from the cauliflower, as much as you can.  I know there are other techy ways to do this but all I had was kitchen towel and it worked out quite well.

The cauliflower would now have a dough like texture to work with. Now add, the shredded mozzarella cheese, egg, garlic and salt. Stir it all together and spread out on your baking pan in a circle shape.  Bake for another 20 mins.

Now for the fun part! Toppings!

Top crust with tomato sauce then layer with sliced mozzarella cheese, we kept it simple and only added tomato and green bell pepper slices.  They make a great combo.

For the last time, pop that into the oven for 5- 10 mins.

Take it out, slice and enjoy!

I hope you try it out.

See you soon Foodster !!
