Healthy Homemade Chocolate | Simplified

Hello everyone,

Today’s recipe is so simple and easy and will definitely satisfy your chocolate cravings. Since I started this healthy journey, I have always been in a look out for healthy chocolates to eat, because I couldn’t stop thinking about chocolate. I started researching and found this very healthy and simple way to make chocolate. This recipe is a really popular one, but it’s what you put in it that helps you personalize it.

Here are the ingredients:

bittersweet chocolate

-1/2 cup of Cocoa powder

-1/2 cup of coconut oil

-1/4 cup of honey (you can use nectar or maple syrup)

-Cashew nuts and Prunes (Optional) – these are the toppings I used. Cashews are my favorite childhood nuts, they are yummy and filled with so many nutritional benefits. As for prunes, this was the first time I had actually used them in my cooking, but it turned out amazing, as it added extra sweetness and a chewy texture.

How to make:

Put all the ingredients in a pot and cook for 6 to 8 minutes or until you start to hear a crackling sound. Pour the mixture into your silicon moulds that has your toppings, I have a Lego silicon mould, army silicon mould and also cupcake silicon moulds.

After you pour it into the moulds, put the mixture into the freezer for 45 minutes to 1 hour.  After the wait, check if your chocolate is frozen, if so, pop it off the silicon and enjoy. Share with your family and friends.

Note:  these chocolate can not be left out of the freezer for a long time or they will melt. To maintain the consistency put it in the freezer or fridge for storage.

This recipe is a must try for all chocolate lovers that wants a healthier alternative. I can eat this chocolate without guilt because I know what is in it (3 basic ingredients).

I hope to hear what you guys think about this recipe, as well as if anyone will be trying it,

Until next time,

Betty.
